FAQs

Is my purchase tax deductible?

Since you are receiving purchased goods, the amount cannot qualify as tax deductible. 100% of sales goes to fuel, or fund rescue.

What if I want to give this merchandise as a gift?

Good news! All our products come packaged in tissue and twine and include a small card, indicating that the purchase of the product itself supports rescue from human trafficking. This makes purposeful gift giving easy.

What does The Exodus Road do?

The Exodus RoadⓇ fights sex slavery and human trafficking by fueling undercover investigations and raids with local police. Our mission statement is: We help find and free slaves through strategic action using ordinary people. Learn more here: The Exodus Road.

How do I pick the size that is best for me?

We have several different fittings in our shirts that are important to understand. We know it's hard to order sometimes online, and we'd like to help as much as possible. Check out the following guidelines.

MEN's shirts run true to size. If they are "fitted," they run a bit tighter.

WOMEN's shirts run true to size, unless it is noted that they are "fitted," which means they run a bit smaller (and are tighter) than the average size. In other words, if you typically order a medium, you will likely want a large in the women's fitted shirts.

UNISEX sizes are different than ones specific to men or women and are noted in the item descriptions, as well. Unisex sizes typically run larger for women, but true to size for men. In other words, if you are a woman who typically wears a medium, you will likely want a small in unisex. A guy that typically wears a medium will want a medium in unisex sizing. In other words, when you order unisex, ladies might want to order a size down.

Are your products made with ethical standards?

We work hard to provide products that are made with ethical practices. Our shirts are all made with high ethical practices in place, and most are officially WRAP certified (see below). Our jewelry is predominately American made by local organizations or supports communities and vulnerable women in impoverished countries, typically where we work.

A few examples:

Scarves. Our scarves are fair trade. They are purchased through Yobel Market and are made by the women at Life Switch Sewing Center in Northern Pakistan. These women are receiving both fair income and dignity which will elevate their status socially and find them favor within their family.

Freedom Rings. Our adjustable "spoon" rings were designed by a U.S. company called Bliss Stamped Jewelry. The artisans are sisters who specifically custom-designed both the unisex and female rings for The Exodus Road community.

Wrap Bracelets. The Thai wrap bracelets support a community in northern Thailand, where we have our Regional office. A local businesswoman offers employment to her entire village of over 50 individuals, providing people with sustainable and positive sources of income.

Essentially, we know you want to feel good about your purchases, and we've worked hard to help make that possible.

What does WRAP mean?

Many of our clothing items are certified by Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), which is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education.

We are grateful for models Shelby Wellbrock and Zachary Roberson and the photographer Ariel Oliver for their donated services to help promote this online store.
